Inspired by Thalassa, the ancient Greek personification of the sea, this sculpture celebrates the ocean as a source of life, transformation and connection.
Thalassa was seen as the living essence of the sea itself, the force from which marine life emerged.

Layers of blue textures resemble weathered reefs and ocean currents, while pearls, crystals and oyster elements tell a story of treasures formed through time and pressure.
Rising from this underwater landscape is a butterfly a symbol of transformation, freedom and the beauty that emerges after change.

Like an oyster turning irritation into a pearl, this work reflects the human ability to transform experiences into something meaningful.
