Magnetic Distance

Magnetic Distance is a tribute to my two younger sisters. We share the same father, but we were raised by different mothers, in different worlds, shaped by completely different life experiences. The distance between us was never something we chose—it was simply the reality of our lives.
Being much older, my journey took me in another direction. While they were growing up, I was fighting my own battles, healing from my past, and searching for who I was. Because of that, I stayed away from their lives more than I ever wanted to. Not because I didn't love them, but because I first had to learn how to rebuild myself.
Yet I never stopped loving them.
I never stopped missing them.
And I never stopped watching over them from afar.
Like magnets, we remained connected by an invisible force. We weren't always close, but the bond between us never disappeared. Some connections don't need constant presence to remain real.
The bold lines and symbols in this piece represent that invisible connection. They cross, separate, and find each other again, reflecting the way family can remain deeply connected despite time, distance, and different paths in life.
Within the Connection Collection, Magnetic Distance is about the people who will always belong to your heart, even when life keeps you apart. It is a reminder that love doesn't always have to be loud or visible. Sometimes, it quietly exists in the space between us.
